ENJOYABLE PROGRAMME

The LMusic-ul Circle of the Lyceum Club met; on Monday evening. This was the first open evening held by this circle in the new club rooms, and the lounge, .with its lofty ceiling, proved to be an excellent room for entertainments of this kind.

Miss Berta Carr sang French and Russian songs, her accompaniments being played by JMiss IMaida. Hooker. who was also heard in pianoforte solos. Mfrs. Singer, accompanied by airs. Prime, played violin solos. and Mrs. Lowrie McGregpLj contributed several very nutertzmmng sketches. Songs were also given by Mr. Len Barnes. and (lac programme concluded with very dumty ballet dances, arranged by Madame Edith Blaird and performed by Blisses luollie \Voolcott and Joan X‘Velsh.

FAREWELL AT MRS. A. F. BUDD 311-3. A. F. Budd, who is leaving Te Puke for Hamilton, was given a bridge ufternpon at the Te Puke Lyceum Club. The club rooms were decorated with spring flowers and camellius. .Mrs. Ralfe, on behalf of the members of the club, presented Itlrs. Budd with a. bronze rose bowl. Mrs. Budd thanked the members in a happy little speech.
