The function was a very enjoyable one, and an interesting feature of the evening was the presentation of the trophies won. The representative ladies from the two colleges. Miss Alice Smith and Miss. Newman. Auckland. and Bliss Jean Combs, Miss Thornton and Bliss Paterson, “Ellington, were all pre< s(letk‘d with bouquets of spring flowers. AMONG THOSE PRESENT Miss Alice Smith had on larkspur blue chiffon and lug-o. Miss Newman was in platinum—tinted satin fume, with lace UVGl‘dl‘Gh‘S. Miss Jean Combs, ‘Vellington. Wore n frovk of apple green crepe (le chine, with Miss Thornton, “’(‘llingtom had on a). him-k chm'lneusc gown. Miss Paterson, \V‘i-llington. wore a, frock of nilc green crepe fleuri, with gcorg‘ette draperies. Miss A. Payne was in an ivory chiffon frock, with uneven—length skirt. Miss Jean Mclntosh wore it lupin blue tuftetzi frock, Miss McGann was in a. cherry satin frock, with lace (ivei'dress. Miss 13. Fotlieringhaln chose rose lame and lace. Miss (3. Fotheringhmn wore marigold georgette, with gold relief. Miss \Valker was in a. black georgette truck of uneven length. Miss L.
