DARGAVILLE FIRE BRIGADE
The sixteenth annual meeting or the Darxaville Fire Brigade washeld last evening. Superimcndent P. Hayward presided over a. good anendanre; The report stated that during the year there were 37 musters held. Firemen J. H. and F. E. Neill head» ing the list without. a miss. Firenxan J. H. Neill still heads the listwith the greatest number of attendances, having :1 total of 499 musters outof a. possible 526. The following firemen‘have earned additional honours for presentation:—Three years’ certificate, Fireman 4.. W. Bird: two years‘ bar, Suptl Hayward and Deputy-Supt. G. McCully To those- ofiices filled annually (ho following appointments were made:—— Assistant-foreman. Fireman A. H. Neild; No. 1 branchman. Fireman l'. Brydon: No. 2 branchman. Fireman F. E. Gould: No. 1 hydrantman. Fireman J. H. Neill: No. 2 hydrantman. Fireman A. “7". Bird; treasurer. Fireman G. L. Haines: secretary, Flre~ man P. Brydon: auditors. DeputySupt. McCully and Fireman Brydon. Following the meeting a. socia' evening was held.
