ONLY HIS LEATHER BELT LEFT ON BODY EXPLOSION 0F PETROL BRISBANE, Monday. An Italian farmer, Matte Baccaletti, died from the effect of burns received when his clothes were set alight and burned off him after an explosion of petrol on his farm at Babinda, near Cairns. Another Italian, Peter Accitino, was severely burnt, and is now in hospital. He jumped over a. bank into a. creek. When he scrambled back he found his companion in a, frightful condition. Only his leather belt remained on his body.
