SPEED AT A BEND

MOTORIST FINED £2 An echo of a motor accident on April 23, when a motor-car driven by Duncan Henry Wallace, along the Great South Road, Papatoetoe, struck another car and overturned, was heard at the Otahuhu Police Court yester day, when Wallace was fined £2 and costs £3 12s for travelling at a danger ous speed. John Crowhurst, a carpenter living on the Great South Road, near the Tamaki Bridge, said he was driving a car along the road travelling North, and while turning into his gate the car driven by Wallace struck his car and turned over, injuring three of the occupants. In fining defendant, Mr F. H. Levien, SM., said that defendant was probably travelling at 40 miles an hour round the bend.
