, The championship games of the Waiuku Golf Club were commenced on Saturday. Following are the results of the games played:—
Senior championship (men).—Howden beat Ohlson, 4 and 3; Colbeck beat Christianson, 1 up; Bloomfield beat C. Ilerrold. 3 and 1.
Junior championship (men). —Morris beat Shakespear; Hill beat Munro. 1 un at 19th: Smith beat Blackler, 1 up; Flaveil beat Kidd; Ducker beat Graham: Jeiram beat Barker, 5 and 3; T. lierrold beat 'Whiteside. 5 and 4. Ladies’ senior championship.—MNs Muir beat Mrs. Christianson. 1 up: Miss Christianson beat Miss Austin, 4 and 3: Miss Howden beat Mrs. Forbes, 2 and 1: Miss Arkle beat Mrs. Harkness, 3 and 1: Miss Neil beat Mrs. Ohlson. 7 and 6. Duthie Cup (ladies). —In the semi-finals Miss Neil beat Miss Muir, 6 and 5: Miss Christianson beat Mrs. Ohlson, 9 and 7. In the final Miss Christianson beat Miss Neil, 2 and 1. WAITEMATA CLUB The following were the best scores in the first round of the Alison Memorial Cup, plaved bv the members of the Waitemata Golf Club on Saturday afternoon:—J. Hogan, 71. 5—6«: NT. O’Connor. 77, io—67; M. Bailey, 93. 24 —69; A. Weir, »4. 24—70; E. Harper, S2, 12—70; J. Clark, S 7. 16—71; H. Hume. 87, 16 —71. . The play-off for the Laing Memorial resulted in a win for M. S. O’Connor, and the junior medal handicap was won by J. W. Clark.
