EFFECTIVE DECORATIONS
To raise funds for the touring representative basketball team, the Waratah basketball players hel*d a very successful dance in the Kensington rooms on Tuesday evening. BOWLS of spring flowers, shaded lights and a canopy of black and green streamers made the room look very attractive, and the crowd of young people who attended spent a very happy evening .dancing to music supplied by> Len. Aleredith’s Adelphia Band. The hostesses for the evening were •Miss L. Taylor, who wore flume satin and georgette with silver hip bow and diamente trimmings, and Aliss F. Tur.bott, who chose phlox pink georgette with tiny frills edging the petalled skirt. Among those present were: Aliss Dimma Williams, who chose marigold georgette with gold lace; 3liss D. Turbott, iii powder-blue taffeta, with frilled uneven hem; Miss Thelma Jones, wearing c iel blue velvet top. with peaked georgette skirt appliqued with rosebuds; Miss Iris Black, who wore black georgette, with hem of ostrich feathers. Aliss G. Cochran, tv ho was in black ring velvet, relieved with beige; Miss Clarice Blackwell, wearing peach floral ninon, with petalled skirl; Aliss Richardson, who chose' sunset, georgette, with long uneven hem; . Aliss Xorma Johnston, weaving green floral ninon; 3liss Vera Rickard, who. wore sea-green taffeta, with silver and green shoulder spray. Aliss Alarjorie Jones, who had on marigold velvet with blue taffeta bow; Aliss Annie Wiltshire, in copper-coloured velvet and gold lace; Aliss K. Webb, who had on silver lame, with skirt of chartreuse green crepe de chine; Miss I. Hemmingsen, who had chosen rose satin beaute with frilled net flouncing; Aliss P. Fatten,- in black satin, uneven hem.
Aliss G. Patten, who wore black velvet, with silver bands of diamente on skirt; Miss L. Hamlet, who chose wedgwood blue georgette and diamente; Aliss R. Hamlet, wearing black silk net over black satin, with bands of pink velvet ribbon; Aliss I. Roseman, who wore rose taffeta, with ruching making a petalled design on the* bouffant skirt.
Miss F. Collecut, who was in peach pleated crepe de chine; ATiss E. Clewes, who wore jade green chenille and georgette, with long uneven hem; Aliss J. Collecut, who chose silver lame with uneven hemline; Aliss T. Turuer, wearing powder-blue taffeta, with bow on shoulder; Aliss Semple Dewdney, who wore an eau de nil chenille embossed frock; AHss Thomas, wearing pointsettia red satin top, with frilled georgette skirt.
