OPERATION ON CHILD WAS NECESSARY DIED UNDER ANAESTHETIC Press Association TIMARU, Today. At the inquest on the child, Ngaio Coutts McGregor, who died under an anaesthetic while undergoing an operation, the coroner returned a verdict according to the medical evidence and expressed the opinion that every care had been taken. Also, that the operation was necessary and that the child was suffering from a toxic condition which could not have been discovered by the usual careful examination.
