THROWN FROM CYCLE

MAN HURT AND LOSES PAY When riding home from work on his motor-cycle at about five o’clock last evening. Mr. Wilfrid Eddy, of Favona Road, Otabuhu, who is a married man aged 23, was at the foot of Anzac Avenue when the tail of his overcoat caught in the rear wheel and threw him from the machine. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance suffering from head injuries. He is reported to be progressing satisfactorily. When ho was thrown from the machine he lost his pay envelope. The loss* was not noticed immediately, but a later search failed to reveal any sign of it.
