Representatives of the local bodies J'hieh contribute to the Taranaki Hospital Board funds met at New lymouth yesterday to discuss the eav y burdens laid on them by the Resent system of hospital board rating. Saying that everyone was agreed the t:me Had arrived when the Government investigate hospital and charitj* ble aid work in order to lighten the urden on the contributing bodies, the RiJor of New Plymouth told the feting that tlie town's contribution 7*5 risen from £769 in 1914-15 to *1.136 in 1929-30.
