ALBURNIA.—The manager reports:— 'The drive north on the main Orlando l«>de from the crosscut at the winze has been extended sft: a total of 169 ft. The reef still averages 3ft wide and Is a compact body of heavily mineralised stone, carrying blend, antimony and silica. Strong dabs of gold are seen in the ore. Some of the pieces are classed as picked stone. The crosscut east, Whau level, has been cleaned out and retimbered and line laid for a total distance of 144 ft from Flat sheet. The level is still broken down and full up with mullock and old timbers. The 12in leader is still showing in the roof of the level and the quartz looks very well for making gold.” CHICAGO WHEAT MARKET (Australian and X.Z. Pres £ Association) Reed. 9 a.m. CHICAGO, Monday.
