RANGITAIKI DAIRY COMPANY The remarkable growth of the dairying industry in the Whakatane district is impressively revealed In the 14th annual report of the Rangitaiki Plains Dairy Company, Ltd. In the season just ended the output was 1,955 tons of butter, compared with only 61 tons ten 3'ears ; go, an increase of over 3,000 per cent. Production in the 1927-28 season was 1,618 tons, so that the result in the season just ended represents an increase of 337 tons, or 21 per cent. The report states that suppliers have now received In cash ISd a lb for superfine butter-fat over the whole season. A final payment of 2d a lb will be made on August 20, bringing the cash payment for superfine butter-fat up to over the Whole season.
