MAUI POMARE ARRlVlNG.—According to a radio message received by Spedding, Limited, the Government motorship Maui Pomare is expected to arrive in the stream at Auckland at 5 o'clock this afternoon from Norfolk Island. The vessel "will berth later at the King's Wharf to land her passengers, maik and cargo. ULIMAROA ARRIVED. Shortly before 1 o'clock this afternoon the Hud-dart-Parker’s intercolonial passenger steamer Ulimaroa arrived in the stream at Auckland from Sydney. Later the vessel berths at the Central Wharf to land her passengers, mails and cargo. At 11 a.m. next Friday she sails from Auckland on her return trip to Sydney. PLUME IN PORT.—An exceptionally fine-weather voyage from San Francisco was experienced by the Vacuum Oil Company's tanker Plume, which reached Auckland yesterday afternoon. She has a full cargo of bulk oil, of which 3,200 tons is being unloaded at Western Wharf The remainder is for Wellington, Lvttelton and Dunedin. She is to resume her voyage at noon tomorrow. AGE DUE.—The steamer Age will arrive from Ocean Island at four o'clock this afternoon, according to her wireless report of yesterday. She will berth at King’s Wharf to unload her cargo of 6,000 tons of phosphates to the agencv of Henderson and Macfariane, Ltd. Messrs. Watkin and "Wallis, the outward agents of the vessel, have received advice that after she has completed discharge she is to bunker at Westport and then return to Ocean Island or Nauru Island to load another phosphate cargo.
TOURVILLE SAILS TODAV.—After being 1 at Auckland for seven days the French warship Tourville is to sail for Wellington, at six o'clock this evening. KAIWARRA SAILING.—The local’ office of the Union Company hopes to dispatch the collier Kaiwarra from Auckland at 10 o'clock this evening for Gladstone to load coal for New Zealand ports. DUN ROBIN DUE.—With a full cargo of raw sugar from Cuba for discharge at Chelsea, the steamer Dunrobin is due a* Auckland tomorrow. Spedding, Ltd., will act as the local agent. DIOMEDE SAILS TOMORROW.— H. MS. Diomede is to sail toiEorromorning on a month's cruise to Southern ports. Her first port of call will be Lyttelton. She is scheduled to return to I Auckland on September S. HURUNUI SAILS TOMORROW.—To- \ morrow afternoon the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company hopes to dispatch the steamer Hurunui from Auckland for Xew Tork, Boston and London, via Panama. CARGO FROM LONDON.—The C. and D. Line has been notified by cable that the Fort Melbourne sailed from London on Friday with general cargo to unload at Suva, Auckland, and Port Chalmers. The vessel is due at Suva on September 6, and at Auckland on September 14. GOLDEN CROSS COMING.—CabIe advice has been received by Henderson and Macfarlane that the O. and O. Line's steamer Golden Cross left Los Angeles on August i with cargo from the Pacific Coast ports for discharge at Auckland, Wellington and Lyttelton. She is expected here on August 27. MARAMA AND MAHENO.—According to cable advice the Manama from Wellington arrived at Sydney at 6.45 a.m. today, and the Maheno from Auckland at 6 a.m. The 3laneno leaves Sydney at noon on Friday for Wellington, and the Uarama at 3 p.m. the same day for Auckland. NARBADA CLEARS CALCUTTA. — Cable advice received states that the Federal steamer Xaxbada, under charter to the Union Company, left Calcutta on Sunday last, yia Penang, Rangoon, Singapore and Samarang, for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff. She is expected here early next month. PIPIRIKI FROM NEW YORK.—The Federal steamer Pipiriki, which is running under the agency of the A. and A. Line, arrived at Auckland yesterday from Xew Fork, and berthed later at the Queen's Wharf to unload the local portion of her cargo under the auspices of the Xew Zealand Shipping Company. She sails on Friday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin to complete discharge. She sailed Xew York on June 2i* and Newport Xews on July I. Strong westerly winds with rough head seas and a high south-west swell were experienced during the last week of the voyage. Included in her cargo are eight purebred Jersey cattle. They are very valuable, high-class animals, and comprise two bulls, two bull calves, three cows and a heifer. They are from the herd of Messrs. T. S. Cooper and Sons. Coopersburg. Pennsylvania, and will be landed at Wellington. Captain W. Hicks is in command and the following are the officers: —Chief. Mr. R. Hellings: second, Mr. X. Turner; third, Mr. B. Mandle: wireless operator, Mr. J. R. Jones; chief engineer, Mr. R. J. Macfarlane: second, Mr. T. Williams: third. Mr. D. Campbell: fourth. Mr. C. E. Hutching?: fifth, Mr. R. Gillies: chief steward, Mr. D. O. Williams. TOFUA RETURNS.—The Union Company's Island passenger steamer Tofua (Captain Duncan McDonald) returned to Auckland at 8.40 p.m. yesterday for the Eastern Pacific Islands, and later berthed at the King's Wharf to land her passengers, mails and cargo. The vessel experienced generally fair weather on the trip round the Islands, and a light southeast wind and swell on the passage from Suva to Auckland.
