DEVONPORT ORPHANS

the meeting of the Devonpcrt Orphans’ Club on Saturday evening the chairman was Professor Maxwell Walker. The official visitors were the president, Bro. Francis, secretary, Bro. S. Anderson and members of the executive committee of the Papakura Orphans’ Club. Also present were Mr. F. Collins, ot the Christchurch Savage Club, Captain Kearney, of the Port Alma, and Mr. F. Packard, of Maunganui. Items were given by the orchestra under Dr. Lowe, and songs were given by Bros. H. Valentine, Kree, Evans. Wright and Baker, and humorous items by Bros. McSkimming and R. Yates. The accompanist was Mr. Moody. Professor Walker also spoke.
