Two Nationals and Cup
T HE Grand National Steeplechase and Winter Cup (run on the opening day) and the Grand National Hurdles (run on the second day) comprise the popular treble that at the present time is intriguing early speckers These are the leading contests at the Canterbury Jockey Club's winter meeting at Kiccarton on Tuesday Thursday and Saturday. August 13 15 and 17 The fields at present in the big events are as follow, asterisks in front of a horse’s name signuytng that it has won since the declaration of the handicaps:
