Dangerous Driver Fined In the Whangarei Magistrate’s Court this morning, before Mr. G. X. Morris, S.M., Cyril Bartley, charged with dangerous driving in Bank Street, pleaded Defendant said he swerved to avoid another car and crashed into a bowser station, damaging several oil-pumps. Postal-boxes Robbed Eight postal-boxes in New Plymouth streets were broken open and the contents removed. The discovery was made this morning, and it is believed the robbery occurred late on Sunday night. The boxes were cleared last about mid-day on Saturday. * * * Rabbit-shooter Injured A 15-year-old lad, Jack Tisdale, of Middlemarcli, was admitted to the Dunedin Hospital this morning with a bullet wound in one leg. He was shooting rabbits with another lad when one of their rifles accidentally discharged. Vehicles Collide Just before non today a sedan motorear collided with a motor-truck in Lower Albert Street. The car’s left mudguard and headlamp weer smashed, but neither driver was hurt.
