AERIAL SERVICES TO BE ORGANISED UNKING UP DOMINION To link up the four centres of the Dominion and Auckland and Rotorua with an aerial passenger and goods service is the object of a company called New Zealand Aerial Services, Limited, which has been formed It will be registered shortly with a capital of £250,000. Already £50,000 of the capital of the company has been underwritten by Dominion Brokers, Limited, and it is proposed to purchase three tripleengined airplanes. Regular services will be organised between Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dun, edin, and a daily service from Auckland to Rotorua. It is estimated that the flying time between Auckland and Wellington will be four hours, and between Auckland and Christchurch, six hours. The Auckland directors are Messrs, J. F. W r . Dickson, D. G. Ogilvie, S. J. Harbutt, W. F. Grove and S. I. Crookes. There will also be local directors in the other three centres. In the opinion of the Auckland directors the time is ripe for the establishment of such services in the Dominion. It is stated that Australia already has five commercial aviation companies in operation, while in the older countries established services run w ith the regularity of trains. Most of these ventures have proved a financial success, and the fact that the company has already secured sufficient capital to go to allotment is taken to indicate the excellence of the prospects of the scheme. Experts from England are expected to arrive shortly.
