A COLD STUDY

Sir,— May I add my opinion to that of the others who have written about the Public Library? I have travelled a great deal and wish to state that Auckland has the coldest building in the world, bar none. I suggest that the members of the Library Committee visit the building every night for a w'eek from 6 to 9.30. They must take no footwarmers, overcoats or thermos flasks and must stay the full time unless the glass goes down to eight below freezing point, at which stage they may be released. If they stick it out they will be acclaimed publicly as heroes and they will have earned the distinction. ICE AGE.
