OTAHUHU SCHOOL
ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR CLINIC In continuation of the series of efforts made by the pupils of the Otahuhu district school, the parents and friends of the scholars of Standard 111. gave a social evening in Kingsford Hall on Wednesday. There was a large attendance, and a very enjoyable time was spent in dancing and music. The duties of master of ceremonies were carried out by Mr. J. Gillies. Dance music was supplied by Mesdames J. Gillies, Walters, Misses Pinkey and Baverstock, and Mr. Stacey Adeane. Musical items were contributed by Mesdames Walters and Greenhall. and Mr. Howard Hunter. A Monte Carlo j waltz was won by Miss tt hye and Mr. Wyman, and a spot waltz by Mr. and j Mrs. Smith. In welcoming the parents and friends, i Mrs. Clements spoke of the splendid way in which the parents had responded to appeals, and said approximately £l5O was now sight for the ground improvement and dental clinic funds. During the evening, Mr. A. Murdoch, headmaster of the school, thanked the performers and all who had contributed to the enjoyment of the social.
