LIBEL CHARGE FAILS

SAMOA GUARDIAN GETS JUDGMENT JUDGE LUXFORD HEARS CASE (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 9.30 a.m. APIA, Thursday. The hearing of a charge of seditious libel against the “Samoa Guardian” newspaper was taken today before Judge Luxford and four assessors, it being virtually a jury trial. The verdict was in favour of the defendant.
