PUBLIC TRUST OFFICERS
ENJOYABLE DANCE AT SYMONDSVILLE STUDIO PALMS AND FOLIAGE The annual dance organised by the officers of the Public Trust Office was held at Symondsville Studio last evening, and was characterised by a special air of gaiety and enthusiasm. Palms and foliage flanked the entrance, and in the brightly festooned supper room the tables were adorned with bowls of jonquils. The latest melodies were played by Jack Rowe’s orchestra. Mr. G. R. Metcalfe, honorary secretary. worked spiritedly for the success of the function, and was ably assisted by the equally energetic committee, comprising Messrs. R. D. Barron. A. L. Dodds, W. E. Holdgate, R. G. Stokes, A. D. Thomson, Misses L. Allan, K. Carton, X. Danglow, E. Grant and X. McCarthy. Of the committee members. Miss X. McCarthy wore a flared frock of jade green georgette outlined at the waist and corsage with rhinestones. , Miss E. Grant had on a pervenche blue georgette frock ornamented with tiny pink rosebuds, and a pompadour pink shawl. Miss L. Allan’s frock was geranium red panne velvet and georgette. Miss Nance Danglow wore a picture frock of japonica pink georgette with fichu and frills of tulle. Miss K. Carron was in black ninon with touches of gold lace. Included among those present were: Miss L. Ross, who had on a shot taffeta frock in autumn tones, made with tunic skirt; Mrs. T. Houston King, who wore an emerald green chenille velvet and georgette frock, with touches of silver lace on the skirt; Mrs. 11. Trevellyan King, in golden brown georgette and lace; Mrs. • Cooper, who liad on duchess blue lace and silver tissue, with chenille coat edged with fur; Mrs. Eric Booth, who wore an opalescent blue charraeuse frock, | bordered with fur, and a shaded chenille shawl; Mrs. G. Ix. Little, in chartreuse green georgette; Mrs. H. G. Badcock, who was gowned in black crepe de chine embroidered in Bulgarian tones; Miss C. Taylor, wearing ivory embossed georgette, with transparent net hem; Miss M. Metcalf’s dainty picture frock was of hyacinth blue georgette, bordered at the hem with ivory net. CHERRY RING VELVET Miss Stretton, who wore a cherry ring velvet frock and a shawl to match; Miss I. Turner's frock was cyclamen georgette; Miss Forster, who had on cameo pink cliarmeuse, with shawl to tone; Miss D. Crocker, who was in pastel pink crepe do chine, with flared skirt; Miss W. Bartrum’s frock was willow green charmeuse and silver lace; Miss C. Rankin had on a floral chiffon frock in tones of Venetian green; Miss M. I-lunter wore love-in-the-mist blue crepe de chine, with touches of silver lace; Mrs. Hill had on a rose du barri taffeta frock in period style with bouffant bow; Miss Thelma Jessup’s pretty frock was in pastel tones of blue and pink georgette; Miss Melville, wearing apricot georgette enriched with silver; Miss AI. Richards, who had on leaf-green embossed georgette; Miss Beth Graham, who was in almond-green georgette appliqued in delicate tones, and a black Spanish shawl. Miss D. Morgan, who had on briar rose crepe de chine; Miss Hetty Leser’s frock was apple-green taffeta and tulle; Miss Laura Stanaway, wearing blushpink chiffon velvet and frilled georgette; Miss Smytheman, who had on wedgwood blue georgette, with diamente, and a Spanish shawl; Miss Mavis Moses, who wore a cherry georgette frock defined with an uneven net hem: Miss I. Edmonds, who was in peach-tinted georgette, bordered with silver lace; Miss M. Blackledge, who wore a dahlia red crepe de chine frock, with fringed skirt; Miss Winn Viscol, wearing a chic frock of black chiffon; Miss Annabel Wright’s period frock was sunset pink embossed chenille, with'transparent net hem; Miss M. Southgate, who had on a picture fiock of dove grey chiffon, and carmen shawl; Miss Jean McConnell, who wore a graceful frock of olive-green georgette, defined with hem of silver lace. JADE GREEN TAFFETA Miss Marjorie Maiden, in jade green taffeta made with tiered skirt, and a flame shawl; Miss J. Curtayne’s frock was orchid pink georgette; Miss R. Worrall, who was in ivofy georgette; Miss Kona Kelly’s frock of larkspur blue ring velvet was worn with a crimson Spanish shawl; Miss M. Singer, who had on lemon georgette, with soft tulle draperies; Miss Eileen Brody’s picture frock was of turquoise green tulle over green cliarmeuse and fine gold lace; Miss Nancy Vaughan, wearing a pompadour pink satin frock with silver lace overdress, and shawl to tone; Miss Maud Webster had on almond green embossed georgette softened with tulle; Miss T. Barker, who was in pmnrose georgette, with Spanish shawl in blue and rose; Miss P. Barker’s pretty frock was of white embossed georgette, with tiny bouffant frills of white tulle, and silver posies; Miss H. Hayward, who had on dawn pink georgette, with silver lace; Miss Edna Sinclair, wearing an egyptian green frock of sequined georgette; Miss Dulcie Smith’s frock was tangerine charmouse, with shoulder posy in matching tones; Miss Healy, who had on cornflower blue georgette, with uneven hem: Miss D. Kalaugher, who was daintily frocked in lettuce green taffeta' of picture design; Miss AT. Kalaugher. who had on cameo pink georgette and tulle, with flared skirt; Miss C. Nicholson, in white georgette and silver lace; Miss Watson, who wore a flounced frock of champagne taffeta; Miss L. Kennedy, in apricot georgette, with flounced skirt; Miss Fitzwilliams, frocked in reseda green taffeta; Miss Peggy Reilly, wearing a black lace frock, and Spanish shawl in lotus blue. MOTOR-CYCLE CLUB SUCCESSFUL DANCE The Society of Arts Hall presented a gay appearance on Tuesday, when the Ladies’ Progressive Motor-cycle Club held its dance. Prizes for Monte Carlo and spot waltzes were given, and quaint paper hats and streamers were distributed during the evening. Music by Edgar Bendall’s Collegians was greatly appreciated. Among those present were: Mrs. L. Dray, wearing mauve lame with uneven hem, and oriental shawl; Airs V. G. Penny, in ivory crepe de chine, silver lace; Aliss T.
