HARD FOUGHT GAME Press Association DUNEDIN, Wednesday, j There was a heavy ground for the j hockey match at Dunedin today bc- | tween Australia and Otago. Both sides played good, fast hockey, and the game 1 resulted in a win for the visitors by 2 goals to 0. For the greater part of the first spell play was fairly even. The first score was an easy one, the ball coming in softly to evade the goalkeeper’s kick and roll in. Infringements were frequent on both sides, as Otago speeded up in an effort to equalise. O’Connor was playing a wonderful game in Australia’s goal. Shortly after half-time Australia made a determined rush, which culminated in a score by Stephens. For ; the remainder of the game Otago tried (hard to catch up and the game ended I with the home side attacking.
