SPORTING SPIRIT
“ \ BAYDOS” has received advice -*-Yfrom Whangarei, that although the Northland Trotting Club was assured of strong support from ovyners and trainers throughout the province if the annual fixture was held on Labour Day, the committees has decided to avoid a clash this year with the Auckland Club, which has also been granted the same date. _ The Northland Club will apply for October 19, and as this will fit in admirably between the Waikato fixture, October 12, and Auckland carnival, October 26 and 28, it should meet with general approval. The Whangarei lightharness enthusiasts are to be congratulated on the sporting spirit shown, and in consequence, the club will no doubt have a record function this year.
