BAY OF PLENTY DAIRY ASSN

(From Our Own Correspondent) An increase of 193 tons of butter to 1,505 tons is recorded in the annual production returns of the Bay of Plenty Co-operative Dairy Asociation, Te Puke, for the season just closed. The major portion of the season’s output was sold f.0.b., Auckland, at very satisfactory prices. Suppliers will close their books for the season showing an average payment on superfine butter-fat of Is 63d a ib. Some 2,800 cows were tested under the group system, an increase of 900 compared with last year; 420 were tested by the factory. The stores department has , s * lown an increase, the sales being £20,641, compared with £17,216 last year.
