THEFTS FROM WOMEN YOUNG MAN IN COURT Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. William Edward Francis, a young man who assaulted and robbed a young woman passing through . the Technical School grounds on the way home on Saturday night, appeared before Mr. E. Page, S.M., and pleaded guilty to this and charges in respect of two other women. There was nothing in the evidence to show any motive other than robbery. Accused apparently ran up from behind women using the path through the Technical grounds, a short cut. After Saturday night’s robbery a police sergeant went to the path. Accused came along and was arrested with the articles in his possession.
