CONSTABLE’S TRANSFER
NEWMARKET PRESENTATION On the occasion of his transfer to Gisborne, a presentation of a travelling rug was made to Constable J. O’Callaghan, of the Newmarket police station. Reference to Constable O’Callaghan’s fine record of service during his stay of five and a-half years at Newmarket was made by Sergeant Millar, who made the presentation on behalf of the Newmarket staff. lie expressed regret at losing ruch a capable officer, the remarks being endorsed by Constable Mclnnes, of Remuera, and Constable "Wright, of Newmarket.
