NITRATES IN AFRICA
MAY MAKE TERRITORY A SECOND CHILI EXTENSIVE DEPOSITS (Australian and N.Z. Press Association , Reed. 10 a.m. CAPETOWN, Thurs. Professor Smeath Thomas announced that the chemistry section of the British Association had discovered extensive nitrate deposits in South-western Africa, extending 10,000 square miles, which would possibly make the territory a second Chili.
