HUNTLY TOWN BOARD

The ordinary meeting of the Uuntly Town Board was held this week, Mr. E. George presiding. It was announced that donations to the earthquake fund were £72 Is, but this did not include any of the Miners’ Unions’ contributions. It was agreed that an emphatic protest be entered against the erection of the Power Board’s office at Hamilton, it being considered that they are not central enough for administration purposes. The vacant sections at Ralph and Williams Streets are to be used as a rubbish dump for the town.
