BRIGHT PARTY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

MR. AND MRS. E. SESSIONS ENTERTAIN A most delightful evening was given by Mr. and Mrs. E. Sessions at their residence, Pencarrow Avenue, Mount Eden, to a party of young friends recently. Mrs. Sessions, with her daughter Eileen, received her guests in a gown of black georgette and lace, while Miss Sessions wore a frock of pink taffeta and silver lace. The rooms were cleared for dancing and games, and were attractively decorated with streamers and balloons. Supper was served in the dining-room. Among those present were: Mrs. S. Hawken, in a frock of black georgette, embroidered in gold; Miss Margaret Hawken, . night green taffeta and georgette; Miss Cynthia Lambert, who chose alice blue faille with frilled georgette skirt; Miss Dorothy Eccles, in pale pink net and shawl to tone; Miss Leslie Eccles, night blue net with frilled skirt; Miss Eileen Cole, in a black beaded frock; Miss Dorothy Woods, wearing blue taffeta; Miss Jean Fisher, in pink taffeta, and Miss Dorothy Fisher, leaf green taffeta relieved with pink georgette. Among the men present were Messrs. E. Carr-Smith, R. Sessions, Ray Miller, B. Allsop, D. Taylor, E. Had, W. Gooch, WAITEMATA ATHENIANS The Waitemata Athenian Club will hold its next session on Saturday next, instead of the following Saturday. This lias been necessitated in order to avoid i clashing with the Auckland Athenians, whose meeting is scheduled for the same evening. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kissen will be official host and hostess at Saturday’s function, for which a first-class programme has been arranged.
