LAST DAYS OF “WOLF SONG” A. fine story of historic and romantic interest is revealed in “Wolf Song,” the current production at the New Regent Theatre. Lupe Velez and Gary Cooper, both outstanding screen players, have the leading roles in this tale of Spanish senoritas and rough backwoodsmen in the old South-west of IS4O. Miss Valez actually sings a number of songs including the theme song, “Yo Te Amo.” . „ . A number of entertaining talkies are presented on the supporting programme. . , _ Three of the most exciting words in the English language compose the the title of the new attraction at the Regent on Saturday. It is “The Studio Murder Mystery,” and the story is as exciting and thrilling as its title. A cast of stars, many of them highlights of the Broadway stage, act this strange and highly entertaining drama of a mystery originating in the dim shadows of a moving picture studio and involving six of Hollywood’s most absorbing characters. . •The Studio Murder Mystery’ is another Paramount all-talking produeti<M*ost of the action of the drama takes place within the studio itself, and the highly interesting processes that go into the making of. talking moving pictures are revealed in detail to the public. This informative angle is cleverly worked Into the plot of the picture. It is merely an incident, but an enlightening one. The new technique of talking pictures is new even to Hollywood and, in “The Studio Murder Mystery,” the whole method is revealed to moving picture audien, rhe fact that Frank Tuttle, who made such gripping melodramas as “Something Always Happens,” also directed this thriller, ensures that it is full of startling surprises. Among the well-known actors in the cast are Neil Hamilton, Warner Oland,* Frederic Marsh and Boris Hill.
