SPEED-BOAT LAUNCHED
CRAFT SECRETLY BUILT IN BRITAIN SHIPPED T 0 AMERICA BritiJ‘i Official W‘ircless RUGBY, Sunday. A secretly-built speed-boat, driven by three Napier engines, each of which will develop more than 900 horsepower, was launched at the Isle of Wight last evening. Today it. was shipped on the White Star liner Arabic to America. The owner of the craft, Miss Carstairs. will make an attempt on the Detroit River next month to win the international motorboat trophy. Her boat, which is named Estelle IV., is 35ft long. It. was constructed at Miss Carstairs’ expense and under her supervision. The boat, in care of a team of mechanics and boatbuilders, will first be taken to Gravenhurst, Ontario, where speed tests will be carried out on Lake Muskoka. _
