MANUKAU CLUBS EVENT Three races were held for the riders , of the Manukau Amateur Cycling Club I on Saturday afternoon on the Mangeve circle. The first, a five and a-half mile junior race, attracted ten starters. The championship next on the fuogramme drew twelve, while 25 lined | up for the 11 miles handicap. The championship resulted in a win for H. Dwight, by one and a-half lengths, from L Aldred. who was I three-quarters of a length ahead of j C. Gainsborough. Dwight took the lead about 100 yards from the finish, and maintained it to the end. The favourite. J. Wade, was fourth. The bulk of the pacing was done by •.lorry" Whitten, who gained the lap prize.
