MUNICIPAL BAND

PROGRAMME AT ZOO : The Auckland Municipal Band, conducted by Bandmaster Christopher Smith, gave an enjoyable Sunday afternoon programme at the Zoological Gardens yesterday afternoon. The numbers included: —March, “L’Etoile de Bronze” (Barwood); hymn. “Abide With Me” (Monk); overture, “Bohemian Girl” (Balfe); Slavonic Dances Nos. 7 and 8 lDvorak). Messrs. Bowes and Davies played a cornet duet, “The Swiss Boy,” and Mr. Hal C. McLennan gave a piccolo solo, “Cassiopa.”
