TEACHER INSULTED
PARENT BEFORE COURT DISTURBED SCHOQL (From. Our Own Correspondent) TAUMARUN Ul. Friday. .x vase of considerable interest to parents with children attending school was heard at the sitting 01' the Taumarunui Magistrate's Court, when, under instructions issued by the Auckland Education Board. Mrs. E. M. Morris, of Piriaka, was proceeded against on a. charge of wilfully disturbing the Tunanui Road School, four miles from Piriaka, and insulting the teacher. bliss E. J. Fittall, in the presence of the children.
The defence \vas that provocation was due to trouble between Airs. Morris‘s son and a. boy named Owen Dinsdale, Whom the defendant threatened to thrash.
Miss Fittall and a committeeman, Mr. C‘. H. Sands, gave evidence regarding the disturbance. The magistrate, Mr. R. M. \Vatson, SAL. described the occurrence as n. regrettable one. Mrs. )lorris should have reported her trouble to the police instead of going to the school. He ontered a. conviction and ordered the de—fendant to pay court costs and Witnesses' expenses.
