NEW ANAESTHETIC

Although secrecy is being maintained. it is learned that it is being manufactured by the Eastern United States Medical Company. Quantities have been released throughout the continent. The results are to be tabulated before an announcement is made.
The mpst gratifying feature of the anaesthetic, which is known as sodium amytal, is that the patient remains in a. twilight sleep for a period of 36 hours, and can be awakened at any time by the administration of an anti—dote. There is no retching or other aftermath. as with other anaesthetics
