FIRE IN OLD MILL
CITY LANDMARK DAMAGED WOODEN BEAMS CHARRED The Old Windmill, well-known landmark on the skyline near Karangahtape Road, was slightly damaged by lire shortly before seven o’clock last evening. The mill is owned by Partington’s and it is believed that the heat from the ovens nearby gradually charred some of the wooden beams in the old building, so that after a time tbey caught fire.
