FIGHT FOR MORGAN
BOUT WITH PROFESSIONAL CHAMPION AUCKLAND’S NEXT MATCH Owing to the proposed match between Artie Hay, welter-weight champion of New Zealand, and Billy Richards, of Australia, falling through be- < ause of Richards’s inability to come to Sew Zealand, the match committee of the Northern Boxing Association met today to consider staging another bout. It was decided to endeavour to match Hay with Ted Morgan, who represented New Zealand at the last Olympic Games and who won the world’s amateur welter-weight title there. Morgan was granted a professional licence a few days ago and lms yet to have his first professional tierht. and the Northern Association is anxious to secure his first bout.
