SYDNEY TIMBER STRIKE
TRADES COUNCIL’S OFFER WILL RUN THE YARDS (JuatraZtort and 2V.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY, Tuesday. The secretary of the Trades and Labour Council, Mr. Jock Garden, stated today: “We are prepared to open every timber yard in Sydney and suburbs on the same conditions as tjiose at Rosenfeld’s yard.’’ Asked what those conditions were, Mr. Garden replied: “We took over Kosenfeld’s yard and are running it. This action has been endorsed by the Sydney Suburban Timber Merchants’ Association and the Labour Disputes Committee. What hinders all the other yards being opened on the same terms ?”
