LICENSED TEACHERS

CERTIFICATES MUST NOW BE OBTAINED BOARD’S DECISION Licensed but uncertificated teachers in the Auckland Education Board’s district will be required to qualify for certificates at the 1930 examination. This announcement was made in the report of a sub-committee at today’s meeting of the Auckland Education Board. The sub-committee had been set up to consider the question of uncertificated teachers. Its recommendation was that teachers so situated should be told that they must sit for the certificate examination. The only exception made was that of teachers in Grade O schools. The recommendation was adopted.
