MUST MOVE ON

Xury Family Sails foi* Sydney NOT WANTED HERE The Xury family on the Niagara “listened to the Customs warning” and sailed for Sydney last evening. Permission to land in New Zealand was refused by the Immigration authorities in Wellington. Even temporary permits to land in the Dominion were refused. The Xury family claimed American citizenship. They said they were of Greek origin, and denied that they were gipsies, though their bizarre garments and swarthy complexion suggested the gipsy of Spain and England. The family consisted of 17 people and arrived by the Niagara from Honolulu. They proposed working their way to England, spending some time en route in New Zealand and Australia. Iu all probability they will be refused permission to land in the Commonwealth and may have to return by the Niagara.
