FIXTURES FOR YEAR ALLOCATED Press Association HASTINGS, Today. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Gun Clubs’ Association was held last evening, Mr. Grooms (Otane) presiding over a good attendance. The election of officers resulted: -President, Mr. E. Groome; vice-presidents, Dr. W. H. Simpson (Christchurch), Mr. H. J. Nitz (Masterton) ; referees, Mr. D. A. Shand (Christchurch) and one to be appointed by the North Island executive: auditor, Mr. W. R. Heney (Christchurch); North Island executive, Messrs. J. Dunlop (Wanganui), T. V. Morrin (Hastings), H. A. Quarterman (Taihape), N. D. Stubbs (Palmerston North), T. J. Watts (Auckland); South Island executive, Mess-rs. F. G. Frampton (Doyleston), A. Prestney (Rangiora), R. S. Taylor (Christchurch), J. Skilling (Rangiora), G. E. Turner (Dunedin): secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. N. Turner (Christchurch). The 1930 New Zealand championship was allocated as follow: —Clays, North Canterbury Club, at Rangiora: sparrows, Springston Club, on Christchurch grounds; pigeon, Christchurch Club. North Island championship: Clays. Palmerston sparrow’ and pigeons to be allotted by the New Zealand executive. The following clubs will control the South Island championships matches: —Clays, Dunedin; sparrows, Christchurch: pigeons, North Canterbury. Provincial clay championships were allotted as follow r :—Auckland (New Lynn), Hawke's Bay (Napier and East Coast), Wellington (Wanganui). Canterbury (Methven), and Otago (Palm- | erston South). I Many remits were dealt with.
