METHODIST WEST CIRCUIT
Ono of the largest quarterly meetInijs of the officials of the Auckland West Methodist Circuit was held on Monday evening, the Rev. A. Mitchell presiding. The balance sheet showed that the income for the quarter had again met the expenditure, and the outlook was very hopeful and inspiring. Encouraging reports from the churches in the circuit revealed considerable activities, there being an increase of members, and a most encouraging response at £?t. John’s on Declaration Day among the intermediate scholars of the {Sunday School. Arrangements were finalised for an evangelistic mission, children’s foreign mission anniversary and an intensive campaign in connection with the attendance of Sunday School scholars at church. The chairman stated that the retiring collection for the earthquake relief fund had been very satisfactory, and the money had been paid to the authorities. Mr. T. E Price was appointed circuit steward in place of Mr. W. Thomson.. ■*vho has retired. Very appreciative reference was made by the chairman to Mr. Thomson's long and faithful service.
