DISAPPOINTMENT FOR BOYS
NO SOCCER TEAM FOR AUSTRALIA (From t Our Resident Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Today. Because the New Zealand Football Association -Council could not find a secretary, the proposed tour of Australia by a New Zealand schoolboy Soccer team has fallen through. The tour was proposed by the Auckland Football Association at the annual meeting after the negotiations with Australia fell through. The Auckland Association wished to make the visit a North Island affair, if a Dominion team could not be obtained, but the N.Z.F.A. insisted that the South Island should have representation in any side which was sent away. It is usual for the South Island Primary Schools* Association to appoint its secretary in the town in Which the South Island tournament is held, and this year a Dunedin teacher was appointed. Unfortunately he was transferred and his address was indefinite. By the time the N.Z.F.A. located him it was too late to make the necessary arrangements in Australia.
