AUCKLAND AUCTIONS An all-round drop in prices was recorded at the fortnightly hide and sheepskin auctions held by tne Auckland Woolbrokers’ Association this afternoon. Dried sheepskins were fully Jd a lb below last sale levels; salted skins showed a drop of up to Is a skin; hides were up to id a lb down on late rates, calf skins suffered to the extent of up to 2d a lb on late rates. The easier market for sheepskins is accounted for largely by the drop m the market for slipe wools reported from London. Best salted sheepskins made up to 10rl each: best full wool dried skins made to ll?d; best half wool skins, ito 10Jd. Heavy ox hides made to f>rt; sow-, to 7 1 -8d: best calf, to 13id; best kip and yearlias, to Sid.
