VILLAGES SUBMERGED
500 DEAD IN TREBIZOND DISTRICT TORRENTIAL RAINS (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Received 11 a.m. CONSTANTINOPLE, Monday. Thirty villages have been submerged, following torrential rains, in the Trebizond district. The death roll is 500, and the damage is estimated at £300,000.
