REPARATIONS PARLEY

VENUE OF CONFERENCE NOT DECIDED GERMANY’S REQUESTS British Official Wireless Reed. 11 a.m. RUGBY, Monday. In the House of Commons, the Foreign Secretary, Mr. Arthur Henderson, informed members that no decision had yet been reached as to where the reparations conference, to be held in August, would take place. Replying to questions, he said the German Government had indicated its intention of raising at the conference the question of the restoration to Germany of the Saar basin. That, however, was quite distinct from the two main problems with which the conference would be called upon to deal, namely reparations and evacuation of the Rhineland.
