UNITED PARTY

AUCKLAND DELEGATES CONFER INTERNAL ORGANISATION Forty delegates attended the first annual conference of the northern division of the New T Zealand United party in the Chamber of Commerce last evening. The conference was presided over by Mr. A. E. Davy, chairman of the Dominion executive. Mr. Oscar Moller, Dominion organiser, also attended. The necessity for added impetus to the party’s affairs was stressed by Mr. Moller, who impressed upon delegates that the activities of various divisions depended upon the duration of occupancy of the Treasury benches by the present Government. Much in the way of internal organisation in divisional territory was accomplished, and the junior organisation was given a definite place in the party scheme. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as under:—President, Mr. J. Trevithick; vice-president, Mr. C. J. Lovegrove; secretary, Mr. H. C. Davy; divisional organiser, Mr. H. CloverClark. Finance and emergency committees were also elected. At the conclusion of the conference, delegates were the guests of the president at supper. Mr. Moller leaves for Wellington tomorrow evening. He will be followed fcouth on Thursday by Mr. A. E. Davy.
