FORMATION OF SOCIETY A meeting- to form the Auckland Zoological Society. suggested some months ago by the Mayor, Mr. O Baildon, trill be held in the Town Hali on Wednesday. The object is to encourage the study of zoology, to promote knowledge of and interest in the fauna of New Zealand, and encourage its protection, and to provide for the steady acquisition for the zoo of a representative collection of the animals of the world.
