LIGHT DECLARED BLACK
Reed. 11 a.m. NEWCASTLE, Today. As a result of renewed industrial unrest on the South Maitland coalfields, electric light has been declared “black” at Weston, and the picketing of the Hebburn pit, which supplies the light, has been resumed. Kurri is now without electricity as a result of the enginedrivers ceasing work at the Stanford-Merthyr colliery.
