TAMAKI BOATING CLUB

ANNUAL “AT HOME” AND PRIZE NIGHT MUSIC AND DANCING There was a large attendance of members of the Tamaki Boating Club and their friends at the annual “At home” and prize night, held in the Kingsford Hall, Otahuhu, on Saturday evening. An enjoyable evening was spent in dancing, games, competitions and musical items. Mr. J. Viney, the club commodore, carried out the duties of master of ceremonies, and was assisted by several of the club members. The dance music was provided by Mrs. Viney, Mrs. Eustace, Miss Fugle and Miss Pinhey. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mrs. Lambert and Mr. N. Walters. Between dances a number of very enjoyable musical items was given by Messrs. Green Brothers, violin duet; Mr. Donaldson, vocal solos, and Miss G. Wattam, elocutionary items. Prizes won by the members during the season were presented by Mrs. L. Clark as follow*: —Pinhey Cup, 5 miles: C. Rosewarne, 1; L. Clark, 2; S. Walters, fastest time. Greenlialgh Shield: R. Lawson. Canoe races for season: R. Lawson, 2 firsts, 2 seconds; L. Clark, 1 first; N. Clark, 1 first, 1 second; A. Clements, 1 first; G. Walters, 2 seconds.

The prizes won at the annual picnic, Cowes Bay, Waiheke, were also presented.
